Carteret Man Killed In Targeted Shooting: Prosecutor
A 23-year-old man from Carteret was killed in a targeted shooting, authorities said. Evan Blozen died as a result of the shooting, according to Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Carteret Police Chief Dennis McFadden. On Tuesday, March 12, at approximately 10 p.m., police responded to Roosevelt Avenue. They found a man suffering from gunshot wounds. Man Killed, Another Critical After New Brunswick Shooting
A 23-year-old New Brunswick man was killed and a second man is in critical condition after a targeted shooting, authorities said. Numi Simmons died in the attack, according to Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and New Brunswick Police Chief Vincent Sabo. On Tuesday, March 12, at approximately 9 p.m., police responded to Throop Avenue and Delavan Street for the shooting. Police have identified the driver killed in a Route 1 in New Brunswick early Wednesday, March .6 Dennis Frick, 65, of Freehold, was in a Ford pickup truck when he was struck by an Infiniti around 7:45 a.m. near the Morris Goodkind Bridge, according to Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and New Brunswick Police Chief Vincent Frick was pronounced at the scene. Robber Gets Life For Killing Clerk At Central Jersey Speedway Gas Station: Prosecutor
A South Carolina man who killed a clerk at a gas station in Edison during an armed robbery in 2018 has been sentenced to life in prison without parole for first-degree murder, authorities said. Marcus A. Wright, 27, of Beaufort, SC, fatally shot the Speedway worker on Dec. 20, 2018, on Amboy Avenue, according to Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone. A 27-year-old Middlesex County man with autism who had been missing tor two days was found with friends in New York City, authorities said. Aaron Bronfenbrener left his home near Buckelew Avenue in Monroe Township around 7 a.m. Saturday, March 2, police said. "He was found about two hours ago and is home and fine, said Monroe Police Lt. Sergeis Jangols shortly before 4 p.m. on Monday March 4. His mother called police when she discovered he was gone, Jangols said.

Fire Destroys Food Pantry In Central Jersey
Fire destroyed a food and clothing pantry in Middlesex County, authorities said. The fire broke out in a building leased by Fish Inc. on the 400 block of New Market Road at about 7:15 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 28, according to Piscataway Mayor Brian Wahler, who was at the scene. Accused NJ Killer Walks Free After Decade In Prison For College Student's Murder
Timothy Puskas is a free man. The one-time convicted killer was released on Wednesday, Feb. 21, from MIddlesex County Jail, after winning a second trial on a murder charge, according to his attorney, Joseph Mazraani. Puskas was convicted seven years ago in the slaying of 22-year-old college student William “Billy” McCaw in New Brunswick. He'd been incarcerated for 10 years. A child porn trafficker from Middlesex County got a minor to perform online for him, federal authorities charged.
