Hit-Run Pedestrian Crash Investigated In Central Jersey Authorities are investigating a hit-and-run crash that left a 32-year-old pedestrian seriously injured in Monmouth County. At about 8:55 p.m. on Sunday, Wall Township police were called to Belmar Boulevard and Birchwood Lane on a report of pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle. The vehicle involved in the collision left the scene before police arrived, they said. The pedestrian from Asbury Park was taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune with serious injuries by Wall Township EMS and paramedics from Hackensack-Meridian. Human Remains Wash Up On South Jersey Shore UPDATED: New Jersey State Police are investigating a body found along the Atlantic County shore. Human remains were found by a passerby on the northern portion of Brigantine Beach at 9:47 a.m. on Thursday, according to Sgt. Lawrence Peele, a state police spokesman. New Jersey State Police, State Park Police and Brigantine Police Department responded to the scene in Brigantine, Peele said. Man Falls From Overpass Onto Garden State Parkway A man was in serious but stable condition after falling from an overpass onto the Garden State Parkway in Essex County Thursday afternoon, State Police said. The 50-year-old man fell from the Watchung Avenue overpass onto the center lane of the highway near mile post 152.4 in Bloomfield around 3:15 p.m., NJSP Sgt. Lawrence Peele said. He was taken to University Hospital where he was last listed in serious but stable condition, Peele said. Circumstances around the incident are unknown and the case remains under investigation, Peele said.
