Pedestrian Struck, Killed On Route 9 In Central Jersey Route 9 in Middlesex County was close for several hours late Tuesday after a fatal pedestrian crash, authorities said. At about 10:40 p.m., Old Bridge police officers responded to reports of an injured person in the 1100 block of Route 9. Emergency responders found an unconscious and unresponsive person suffering severe injuries after being struck by a vehicle, according to initial reports.  The victim was pronounced dead a short time later.
