South Jersey Man Charged With Murder In 22-Year-Old's Killing, Prosecutors Say A Vineland man was accused of killing a Whitesboro man in Woodbine, authorities said. Hakeem Denby, 34, was given charges for murder and several weapons offenses, Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffrey Sutherland said in a news release on Monday, Nov. 4. He was wanted in the shooting death of 22-year-old Daquann Smith. State troopers responded to the 300 block of Madison Avenue at around 11 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 25, and Smith was pronounced dead at the scene.
