Embattled New York Giants Head Coach Joe Judge was fired Tuesday after two seasons that produced a 10-23 record and a series of public embarrassments, the team confirmed. New York Giants Hall of Fame linebacker Lawrence Taylor was charged in Florida with failing to register as a sex offender, according to multiple news reports. TMZ Sports broke the news that Taylor, 62, was booked and released by the Broward County Sheriff's Office late Thursday. Taylor was listed as a sex offender a decade ago after admitting he had sex with a 16-year-old girl who he said he thought was 19. A beloved teacher and assistant football coach was found dead at Woodbridge High School on Wednesday after suffering a medical episode. Woodbridge Superintendent Joseph Massimino posted a letter to staff and parents about the death of longtime business teacher Jeffrey Grimm. He was 45 years old. A 29-year-old Middlesex County man was shot and killed outside of a Long Island home over the weekend, authorities said. Danie Philistin, of South Plainfield, was pronounced dead at the West Babylon home on Gordon Avenue around 11:30 p.m. Saturday July 17, Suffolk County police said.
