Pork Roll On A Burger? 'America's Best Restaurants' Reviews New Jersey Eatery's Special Item
A popular YouTube show that travels the country tasting food from different restaurants recently stopped by a New Jersey spot (scroll for video). "America's Best Restaurants" host Theo sampled the Simple Chicken Fajitas, the Steak Diane at Ellery's Neighborhood Pub & Grill in Middlesex. "Now I'm not going to lie though," Theo tells owner John Ellery. "I'm a little excited to get to this bad boy right here." It's the Brunch Burger that he's talking about, topped with hash browns, eggs, and pork roll — "not Taylor Ham," Theo says. Ellery's owner John Ellery says the burge…

Portnoy Gifts Fan Buffalo Chicken Slice During Review Of Jersey Shore Pizzeria
Buffalo chicken pizza isn't Dave Portnoy's taste. And neither is a floppy crust. The Barstool CEO, continuing his "One Bite" review stint along the Jersey Shore stopped by Salerno's in Hazlet. The Bethany Road pizzeria threw in a free slice of buffalo chicken, but Portnoy made it abundantly clear, it's not his thing. So much so that he gave it to a nearby fan. Portnoy ultimately gave the pizza 7.3, deducting points for a floppy crust, but the fan reviewed his free slice of buffalo chicken: 8.3.

Pizza From Brothers' NJ Shop Leaves Crunch To Be Desired, Portnoy Says
Dave Portnoy is kicking off another "One Bite" New Jersey pizza review tour in Old Bridge. Barstool Sports' CEO stopped by Via Sposito in Old Bridge, where he said he had one day to load up on pies before his colonoscopy. That's besides the point. On to the pizza. Portnoy ultimately gave the pizza a 7.4, telling owner Anthony Esposito his pies could use a little bit more crunch — but putting it in a cardboard box definitely wasn't helping. Via Sposito is owned by Anthony and his brother, Vincent Esposito Jr., both fourth generation Italians whose family previously lived in Brooklyn,…

Is NJ's 'Best Burger' Overhyped?
It's more common for White Manna to earn some type of national ranking than not. The no-frills Hackensack burger joint, famous for its tiny sliders and building on River Street, has yet again been named the best in New Jersey, this time by "Readers Digest." While White Manna certainly has its fair share of rave reviews, some critics say the longtime hamburger joint, well, isn't all it's cracked up to be. "Used to be great went twice in the past 3 weeks and food was trash service was slow and grease was outrageous," one Daily Voice reader said. "Other places have better food they lost their…

'I Wouldn't Wish This On My Worst Enemy': Penn State Pizzeria Trashed In Review By Portnoy
Wet and floppy. Sounds more like a gym sock than an enjoyable meal, but it's how Barstool Sports CEO Dave Portnoy described a slice of pizza he tried from College Pizza at State College. While Portnoy is certainly known as a tough pizza critic, this slice didn't even come close during the One Bite review: 1. It didn't score much higher on the One Bite app: 1.8. Students warned him before he bit in to the Locust Lane pizzeria's pie, "Don't expect much." Portnoy dug in anyway. "Um, this pizza's trash," he said, guys around him laughing. "It's horrible." The College Pizza website …
