Four Marina Employees Suffer Smoke Inhalation During Boat Fire In Wildwood, Firefighters Say Four people suffered smoke inhalation after a large boat caught fire at a marina in Wildwood, officials said. The fire started on the boat docked at Schooner Island Marina at around 12:39 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 22, the City of Wildwood Fire Department said in a Facebook post. When firefighters arrived, they found the roughly 42-foot boat named "Luv-It" engulfed in flames. The fire spread to the dock and a nearby small shed. The boat eventually sank from the weight of the water firefighters sprayed to extinguish the flames and foam was used to put out a fuel fire on the water. …

The victim was reported missing about an hour after he was last seen, responders said. A Mahwah police drone located the body, as various police, firefighters and dive teams converged on the scene. 'Hey You Down There, Break It Up': Elizabeth PD Drones Will Shadow Social Distancing Violators WATCH: Drones will be flying around the city of Elizabeth warning citizens to follow Gov. Phil Murphy's social distancing directives or face fines of up to $1,000, Mayor Chris Bollwage said. Elizabeth police have been using drones since 2018, but they've gotten five newer models with voice capabilities, Bollwage said Tuesday. The drones will fly around the city with an automated message from the mayor telling people to "stop gathering, disperse and go home," he said.
