A South Jersey mother accused of killing her 5-month-old child said she fatally stabbed her daughter to “fulfill the last of her sins, murder,” NJ Advance Media says citing court papers. Kristhie I. Alcazar, 26, was charged with murder and a weapons offense, Daily Voice previously reported. She allegedly stabbed the girl in their Penns Grove apartment on Friday, the Salem County prosecutor said Friday. The baby’s father was not home during the crime. Charges will not be filed against a Clifton police officer involved in a police chase that killed a 20-year-old Wyckoff motorcyclist in a 2019 pursuit, according to the New Jersey Attorney General's Office. Officer John Ferraro attempted to pull over two motorcyclists after he suspected they were riding on stolen bikes around 1:50 a.m. June 17, 2019, authorities said. Fierce Fire Destroys Palisades Park Home
Two firefighters were injured Sunday in a ferocious blaze that destroyed a 96-year-old Palisades Park home. Responders were met by heavy fire and smoke at the West Harwood Terrace home around 1 p.m. They eventually had to go to an exterior operation as flames blew out the roof and through windows. A cold front moving across the region is being accompanied by a rapidly moving line of showers and isolated thunderstorms, some of which are expected to be severe, with damaging winds that could cause power outages. Family Of Missing NJ Man Found Dead 'Taunted By Threats, Harassing Calls'
The body of a 23-year-old man reported missing last month was found along the Jersey Shore -- and his family is desperate for answers, NJ Advance Media reports.
