A 29-year-old man from Colts Neck man has been arrested in connection with a series of bank robberies during the past month, authorities said. Conor Kavanagh, 29, was charged with three counts of first-degree armed robbery, Acting Monmouth County Prosecutor Lori Linskey said on Monday. An investigation was initiated after the first of three bank robberies, which took place shortly after 1:15 p.m. on Nov. 13 at the PNC Bank inside the Stop & Shop supermarket on Route 36 in Keyport, the prosecutor said. 1 Dead, 1 Injured In Colts Neck Crash
One person died and another was seriously injured in a one-car crash in Colts Neck overnight, authorities said. A female driver from Seaside Heights was heading south on State Highway 18 near milepost 20.8 when the car, a 2011 Mazda, went off the roadway to the right, struck a tree and overturned just before 3 a.m. Sunday, according to Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office spokesman Chris Swendeman. A contractor to the US Navy has been ousted from the US Army Reserves for his participation in the Capitol Riot on Jan. 6, according to federal officials. A Howell Township man convicted twice of possessing child pornography has been sentenced to a term of five years at a Monmouth County treatment center. Authorities in Central Jersey said they've charged 14 suspects in connection with the possession or distribution of child pornography. The Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office is the first law enforcement agency in New Jersey to seize and liquidate cryptocurrency, authorities said. The unusual assets were seized during an illegal drug bust in Long Branch and cashed in for about $198,237, according to Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni. Armed Bank Robber In Central Jersey Carried Clipboard
Police were called to an armed bank robbery in Monmouth County. The robbery was reported about 3 p.m. at the Colts Neck branch of Manasquan Bank at 330 Route 34, according to initial reports. The robbery suspect was wearing all black except for a red face mask, reports said. He was armed with a handgun. He was described as in his 30s and about 6 feet tall.
