NY Man Dead In Fiery Turnpike Crash
A New York man died in a fiery crash that closed the New Jersey Turnpike Saturday morning, July 22, police said.
Henry Subin, 77, of Katonah, NY, was heading north in a Jeep Grand Cherokee when he struck the concrete barrier of the toll plaza, overturned, and became fully engulfed in flames around 9:45 a.m. in Carneys Point.
The crash, near milepost 2.4 on the northbound side, closed toll lanes 1 to 4 for four hours.
Subin was killed as a result. The crash remains under investigation.

The names of nine Catholic priests from New Jersey have been added to one law firm's list of accused child sex abusers.
The priests below are the latest named in sex abuse settlements stemming from the Diocese of Camden County's bankruptcy case, according to the law firm of Jeff Anderson & Associates.
The alleged crimes took place in Camden, Collingswood, Hammonton, Pennsauken, Waterford, Cherry Hill, Laurel Springs, and Carney’s Point, with the abuse spanning from the mid-1950s through the early 1980s, Anderson said.
