Historic Freehold Raceway To Permanently Close At End Of 2024
Freehold Raceway, the oldest racetrack in the U.S., will close after two centuries of competitions and Monmouth County history, officials said. Freehold Raceway will hold its final live races and simulcast operations on Saturday, Dec. 28, the half-mile track said in a news release. Stop & Shop has released a list of the 32 underperforming stores by the end of the year. The grocery giant in March announced that it planned on closing a number of stores "in the interest of company longevity," as previously reported by Daily Voice. A 5-year-old was among New Jersey's 178 presumed positive cases of coronavirus, with 80 new ones as of Monday, state health officials said.
