A 32-year-old woman from Monmouth County has been sentenced in a fatal crash while high on drugs, authorities said.
Ashley Watkins, 32, of Eatontown, was sentenced to five years in New Jersey State Prison on Friday, Dec. 1, according to Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer.

A New Jersey couple was killed in a crash in Virginia last week, according to their obituaries and news reports.
Corey Wetmore, 28, of Brick Township, and Brittany Forsythe, 26, of Browns Mills, both died in the Halifax County crash on Wednesday, Nov. 15, Virginia State Police said.
Wetmore was heading south in a 2006 GMC Envoy on a Virginia street around 8:15 p.m., when the vehicle ran off the right shoulder, State Police said. Wetmore overcorrected, ran off the left side of the highway and struck several trees. The vehicle then overturned down an embankment, police said.
