Missing 33-Year-Old Cape May Boater Found: Coast Guard
UPDATE: A boater who went missing a mile east of Cape May Monday, Aug. 29 has been found, authorities said. The US Coast Guard and New Jersey State Police are searching for an overdue boater approximately a mile east of Cape May Villas, authorities said. Missing is Christian Johnathon Hosford, Jr., 33, last seen around sunset on Monday, Aug. 29 in a 10-foot John boat near his home in Cape May Villas. Troopers Rescue 11 Boaters Sinking Off Jersey Shore
Eleven passengers in a sinking boat were rescued by New Jersey State Police. On Aug. 14, several troopers rescued the passengers from the 21-foot boat in Point Pleasant. At 4:24 p.m., Sergeant First Class Christopher Kochman, along with Troopers Michael Sugzda, Kristofer Buonomo, Francis Morris, and Luke Drazdik of Point Pleasant Station observed a vessel in distress in the Point Pleasant Canal. : Coast Guard, Good Samaritan Rescue 6 Jersey Shore Boaters
Six boaters were rescued by members of the US Coast Guard and a good Samaritan approximately 34 miles east of Atlantic City Thursday. Watchstanders in the Coast Guard Sector Delaware Bay Command Center in Philadelphia received an alert that a 28-foot pleasure craft with six people aboard was taking on water due to the inclement weather and the heavy seas in the area. An MH-65 Dolphin helicopter aircrew from Coast Guard Air Station Atlantic City launched to assist the boaters.
