Fnu Rachna, 60, was charged with sale of flavored vaping products, the Atlantic Highlands Police Department said in a news release on Tuesday, Aug. 6. Motor Scooter Driver Hit By Vehicle On Jersey Shore, Hospitalized With Head Injury
A man was hospitalized after he was hit by a vehicle while driving a motor scooter in Monmouth County, authorities said. Atlantic Highlands police said it happened on Route 36 near the intersection with Valley Drive at around 8:52 p.m. on Sunday, Mar. 3. Officers found the man suffered a head injury and paramedics rushed him to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune. Police said the hospital told them the man was released. A Monmouth County Grand Jury has returned a two-count indictment against a Middlesex County resident who was found in Atlantic Highlands with the body of his former girlfriend in the back seat of his vehicle, authorities said. Jordan J. Vilcatoma-Correjo, 28, of Edison Township was charged with first-degree murder and second-degree disturbing human remains, they said. Union Beach Officer Killed When He Struck Telephone Pole
An off-duty Union Beach police officer was killed when he struck a telephone pole, authorities said. Detective Cpl. Timothy Kelly, Jr., 29, died in the crash. He was described as a "rising star" by his department. The single motor vehicle crash occurred at 1:57 a.m. on Sunday, July 17 on State Highway 36 West just past Grand Avenue, according to Atlantic Highlands police.
