'You're Good:' NJ State Troopers Often Gave Connected Motorists Free Pass, Comptroller Finds The difference between getting a ticket and getting a warning from a New Jersey State Trooper could be based on who you know, according to a new report from the New Jersey Comptroller's Office. As part of its Police Accountability Project, the comptroller's office reviewed camera footage of 501 stops by state police that did not result in a ticket. In 27% of the stops, motorists presented a courtesy card, claimed to have a friend or relative in law enforcement, or flashed a law enforcement badge and then were let go, the report said. Trenton Police Search For Student Who Brought Loaded Gun To High School Trenton police are on the lookout for a 19-year-old student who brought a gun to school and fled after scuffling with a security officer, authorities said. At approximately 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb.8, police were told a student was in possession of a firearm while attending school at 400 Chambers Street, Trenton Central High School. The fugitive was identified as Breion Crayton. School officials immediately instituted a shelter-in-place to isolate and locate Crayton.
