The Hummus Republic, a fast-growing Mediterranean-style restaurant chain from California, will hold a soft opening Thursday, April 8 at Pier Village. The restaurant -- specializing in customizable bowls, baguettes and pitas -- is situated in a 1,500-square-foot space previously leased by Smiley's Cocktails & Eats.
