Annie is a proud alumna of Purdue University, with degrees in Broadcast Journalism and Anthropology. She began her journalism career in front of a camera, reporting news across the Midwest.

Annie’s passion for journalism began back in high school during her time in Youth In Government, where she served as as reporter and press editor for several years. She is proud to have pursued her childhood dream of becoming a journalist. From breaking news to archery on horseback to hanging out with kangaroos, Annie is grateful to share the stories and events of those around her.

In her free time, Annie enjoys showing her horses and watching sports. The only granddaughter of Indiana Pacer’s founder Chuck DeVoe and stepdaughter of Purdue Men’s Basketball Announcer and former player Ralph Taylor, Annie’s love for Indiana basketball runs deep.

A US history buff, Annie is proud to provide news to the Capitol region.

Decorative Christmas Lights Ignite Laytonsville Home A Laytonsville home has been damaged after a late-night fire, authorities say. A passerby called in the fire after witnessing the flames shortly before 10 p.m., in the 22000 block of Foxlair Road on Monday, March 6, according to a Montgomery County Fire and Rescue spokesperson. The fire was reportedly caused by Christmas lights in the home, investigators say. No one was reported injured in the fire, which left around $25,000 in damages to the home.

Overnight Baltimore Shooting Sends Man To Hospital: Police A man is recovering after being shot in a Baltimore neighborhood, authorities say. Shortly before 2 a.m., Tuesday, March 7, Baltimore police were dispatched to the 500 block of South Bentalou Street for reports of a shooting.
