Train Operator Dead, 23 Passengers Hurt In NJ Transit Crash With Tree
A train operator was killed and multiple others hurt after a tree fell on an NJ Transit train Monday morning, Oct. 14 in Burlington County. The incident happened around 6 a.m. on the River LINE train, which had been heading north from Trenton when it struck a tree south of the Roebling Station in Mansfield Township, an NJ Transit spokesperson said. : Man Killed By NJ Transit Train Near Jersey Shore Station
A man died when he was struck by a New Jersey Transit train in Red Bank, officials said. The pedestrian was hit by a southbound North Jersey Coast Line train No. 3241 at the Monmouth Street crossing at around 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 8, an NJ Transit spokesperson said. The crossing is next to the Red Bank transit station. The train left New York Penn Station at 12:12 p.m. and was scheduled to arrive in Long Branch at 1:45 p.m. None of the 25 passengers or crew on the train were injured. A person was struck by a New Jersey Transit train in Monmouth County, officials said. North Jersey Coast Line rail service was suspended in both directions between Red Bank and Long Branch, NJ Transit said on Twitter at 2:22 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 8. Officials ID Man, 39, Killed By Train In Monmouth County
Officials have identified the man struck and killed by an NJ Transit train on Saturday, Sept. 13 in Monmouth County. Anthony DePalma, 39, of Atlantic Highlands, was struck at the Monmouth Street crossing in Red Bank and involved North Jersey Coast Line train 7240, according to an NJ Transit spokesperson. A person struck by a train briefly delayed NJ Transit service Friday, Aug. 9, officials said. The male was struck by Northeast Corridor train 3875, which left New York Penn Station at 6:47 p.m. around 8:30 p.m. just west of Jersey Ave Station in New Brunswick, NJ Transit officials said.
