Big Lots To Shut These New Jersey Stores: Closing Sales Under Way Big Lots! has announced the closures of even more locations since filing for bankruptcy in September. The company announced on Monday, Sept. 9 that it will sell its assets to an affiliate of private equity firm Nexus Capital Management. Additional closures were approved this month in bankruptcy court.  New Jersey has 27 stores, and 13 of them are set to close with closing sales underway. Father, Three Sons Killed Daughter: Union County Prosecutor A father and his three sons were indicted by a grand jury on Wednesday, Oct. 9 with manslaughter in the death of his daughter, a  28-year-old Union Township woman last May, authorities said. On Friday, May 10, the Union Police Department responded to the 300 block of Greenbriar Drive for a welfare check and found Kerline Joseph Charles dead at the scene, Union County Prosecutor William  Daniel and Union Police Director Christopher Donnelly said. School Bus Crashes Into Vehicle In Hunterdon County: Njsp Nobody was injured after a school bus collided with a vehicle in Hunterdon County on the afternoon of Tuesday, Sept. 3, authorities said. At 3:25 p.m., troopers responded to the crash on Pattenburg Road and Bellwood Avenue in Union Township after the bus struck the right side of the Subaru, Jeffrey Lebron, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said.
