Panhandler Threatens To Kill NJ Grocery Store Worker, Police Say
A 40-year-old man threatened to kill a Clifton grocery store employee before pulling what appeared to be a handgun from his waistband, authorities said.
Officers responded to Food Universe on Lexington Avenue on Friday, Aug. 28, around 2:03 p.m., after a 911 caller reported a man with a gun, Clifton Police Det. Lt. Robert Anderson said.
Adolfo Barrientos, whose last known address was in Paterson, had been panhandling, causing a disturbance, and disrupting business inside the store, Anderson said.

DWI PA Driver Drove Through Road Closure Signs: Lopatcong PD
A 43-year-old Easton, PA man was arrested and arrested after he drove through traffic control near Route 57 and Route 519, authorities said.
At 12:27 a.m., on Tuesday, Aug. 25, Manuel Breve bypassed multiple traffic cones, road-closure signs and a marked police car in an effort to avoid a designated detour, Lopatcong police said. Breve was arrested following a roadside investigation for DUI, police said.
