A 72-year-old woman has been charged with calling in a bomb threat to Holy Name Medical in August, authorities said. A dog hit by a car earlier this month on Route 4 is nearly ready for a fur-ever family. Stella was struck by the vehicle in Hackensack on Oct. 13 and taken to Oradell Animal Hospital, where she was treated for broken ribs and a fractured pelvis. Police have identified the person struck and killed by a New Jersey Transit train on Tuesday morning, Oct. 1. Power Outage Update: Storm Leaves Hundreds Of NJ Residents In The Dark
A storm system that swept through the region Saturday afternoon, Aug. 3 left hundreds of North Jersey residents without power. As of 5:40 p.m., about 950 PSE&G customers in Hackensack did not have power, its website shows. In Closter, 145 Orange & Rockland customers were in the dark. In West Milford, more than 500 residents did not have power. Most of those customers were JCP&L. The storms, which brought temps down to the high-70s, had subsided as of press time.
