A Bergen County SWAT team was called to an Oakland home Sunday morning, Nov. 24, after a restraining order violation escalated into a barricade situation, local police said.
Officers responded to a residence on River Road at 8:37 a.m. for a report of a restraining order violation involving Carlos Rocha, 43, formerly of Oakland, who had been barred from the home, Oakland Police Capt. Timothy Keenan said.

Ramsey police responded to reports of a shoplifting in progress at Ulta, located at 1255 Route 17 South, around 4:09 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, according to Detective Jaclyn Sabatelli. Teen Burglar Caught After Ransacking Bergen County Apartment, Police Say
A Maywood resident returned to her apartment on Tuesday, Nov. 19, to find a light on in the rear bedroom and assumed her husband was home, authorities said.
Instead, an unknown man emerged, fled through the bedroom window, and left the Howcroft Road apartment ransacked, according to Maywood Police Chief Terence Kenny.
Officers from Maywood and Rochelle Park police departments responded to the scene at 5:14 p.m., established a perimeter, and began their search, Kenny said. They determined the suspect had entered through an unlocked rear window, he added.
