An Asbury Park man was accused of critically injuring a woman in an unprovoked stabbing on Labor Day, authorities said. Travis Cavanaugh, 39, was arrested in the case, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond Santiago said in a news release on Wednesday, Sept. 4. Asbury Park police responded to the 500 block of Asbury Avenue for a report of a stabbing on Monday, Sept. 2. A Florida man was accused of pulling a knife on a customer at an upscale Rumson restaurant during an argument over spilled wine, authorities said. David Gulley, 75, of Palm Beach Shores, was arrested on Thursday, Aug. 22, the Rumson Police Department said in a news release. The fight happened at Red Horse by David Burke, a restaurant on the corner of Ridge Road and Avenue of Two Rivers. Two more men were charged in a plot to shoot and kill another man in Jackson Township, authorities said. Noah Phelps of Monroe Township and Glenn Franzson of Jackson Township were arrested, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer said in a news release on Tuesday, Aug. 20. An Edison man was accused of stabbing another man he knew during a fight, authorities said. Dante Wright, 24, was given several charges including attempted murder, South Brunswick police Chief Raymond Hayducka said in a news release on Sunday, Aug. 4. Two Men Found With Stolen Gun From FL, Cocaine In Atlantic City: Police
Two Atlantic City men were accused of having cocaine and a stolen gun from Florida, authorities said. Police arrested 37-year-old Leon Henry and 36-year-old Kishon Woodall on Wednesday, July 31 after a two-month drug-dealing investigation, the department said in a news release. Detectives executed two search warrants at homes on the 1900 block of Caspian Avenue and the 500 block of Dr. Martin Luther King Boulevard.
