Man Sets Off Smoke Bomb In NJ McDonald's, Flees In White Audi: Cops Police are searching for a man who set off a smoke bomb inside a McDonald’s on Route 22 East, forcing customers to flee and causing damage to the restaurant’s floor. The incident occurred on Thursday, Dec. 26, around 5 p.m., according to Union Police. The suspect allegedly emerged from the restaurant’s bathroom and detonated a red-colored incendiary smoke bomb. Witnesses reported that he appeared to be filming the act for social media purposes. Customers eating at the time were alarmed and evacuated the building. NJ Trio Ram Police Car In Stolen Vehicle, Police Say Three people, including two juveniles, were arrested on Sunday, Dec. 29 for driving a stolen car in Township of Union, authorities said. At 5:20 p.m., officers discovered the stolen car near the Galloping Hill Mall at 1350 Galloping Hill Rd., Township of Union police said. Officers surrounded the car with the goal of blocking it to prevent a pursuit, police said. The driver of the stolen car tried to force his way out of the containment and repeatedly rammed police cars, officers said. Father, Three Sons Killed Daughter: Union County Prosecutor A father and his three sons were indicted by a grand jury on Wednesday, Oct. 9 with manslaughter in the death of his daughter, a  28-year-old Union Township woman last May, authorities said. On Friday, May 10, the Union Police Department responded to the 300 block of Greenbriar Drive for a welfare check and found Kerline Joseph Charles dead at the scene, Union County Prosecutor William  Daniel and Union Police Director Christopher Donnelly said.
