Tragedy In High Bridge: Crossing Guard Killed Remembered For Life Of Service Robert "Bob" Bork, a 79-year-old High Bridge crossing guard struck and killed by a car last week is being remembered for his dedication to helping others. Bork was hit by a southbound vehicle on County Road 513 at the intersection of Larrison Avenue last Wednesday, Nov. 28, according to the High Bridge Police Department and the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office. Bork was airlifted to Morristown Medical Center, where he later died, officials said.  Good morning. Former Bergen County HS Athlete Sean Sidle Dies Suddenly, 19: 'Nightmare' Sean Sidle, a former St. Joseph's Regional High School athlete from Maywood, died on Monday, July 22. He was 19 years old. A GoFundMe campaign launched by Sean's mother, Victoria, said that his death was sudden, and "a nightmare for any mother and father to have to go through."  Sean's obituary on the Beaugard-McKnight Funeral Home website says he graduated from St. Peter the Apostle Grammar School in River Edge in 2019, and then from St. Joseph Regional High School, Montvale, where he played football and wrestled, in 2023. Video Shows Landspout Tornado That Flipped Cars, Uprooted Trees In NJ Town The National Weather Service has confirmed a landspout tornado touched down in a New Jersey town last week. The EF-0 twister took down trees and flipped several cars in a post office parking lot for exactly one minute in Lawrence Township (Mercer County) on Friday, June 14.
