Gusty Winds Leave 5,000 New Jersey Residents Without Power: Here's Where
More than 5,000 New Jersey residents are facing power outages as high wind gusts were being clocked in parts of the state on Thursday, Dec. 5. As of press time, JCP&L was reporting 2,521 outages in Ocean County and 1,494 in Burlington County. Monmouth County was also heavily affected, with 1,125 customers in the dark, while Mercer County reports 104 outages and Middlesex County just four. Tractor-Trailer Takes Down Pole On Jersey Shore
A tractor-trailer took down a pole and wires in Marlboro, authorities said. The crash on Wednesday afternoon, Aug. 30, closed Harbor Road between Route 79 and Tennent Road, Marlboro police said. More than 500 customers were without electricity in Monmouth County, authorities said. There were 557 Monmouth County homes and businesses blacked out at about 11:30 a.m., Thursday May 4, JCP&L reported. Part of the problem was blamed on an electric substation in Howell, according to an unconfirmed report. Middlesex County, meanwhile, had 377 electric customers without power at 11:30 a.m., JCP&L said. Meanwhile, the National Weather Service issued coastal flood watch advisories.

More Than 1,000 Without Power In Monmouth County
There was a power outage that left more than 1,000 Jersey Shore customers without electricity. A total of 1,056 customers remained without power in Monmouth County as of 4:20 p.m. Tuesday, May 2, according to JCP&L. The cause of the outages were not immediately clear. A 55-year-old truck driver crashed into the home at the intersection of McLean Avenue and Route 35 North at 3:05 p.m. on Wednesday, April 5, Point Pleasant Beach police said.
