Two Suspects Wanted In Aggravated Assault Near Jersey Shore City's Boardwalk, Police Say
Police in Cape May County were looking for two men wanted in an aggravated assault investigation, authorities said. The North Wildwood Police Department posted two pictures of the suspects on Facebook on Sunday, June 9. The men were wanted in an incident on Saturday, June 8 near the corner of East 26th Avenue and the Boardwalk. The location is also near Surfside Pier. The first suspect was seen wearing pink shorts that appeared to be a bathing suit. The other suspect wore a black shirt, purple shorts, and sunglasses. Woman, 31, Killed, 5 Hospitalized In Route 9 Muscle Car Crash, Prosecutor Says
One woman was killed and five others hospitalized in a multi-vehicle Route 9 crash overnight, authorities in Middlesex County said. Old Bridge officers responding to Route 9 and Ferry Road found a wrecked Ford Mustang with four occupants and a BMW with two occupants around 1:05 a.m. Sunday, June 2, Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone said. All four of the Mustang's occupants were taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital for treatment, and were in stable condition as of press time. Motorcyclist Killed In Overnight NJ Crash, Police Say
A motorcyclist was killed in a late-night crash in Somerset County, police said. Police responding to reports of a crash on Easton Avenue near DeMott Lane in Franklin Township found a crashed motorcycle around 12:15 a.m. Saturday, June 1, Franklin Township Police Lt. Vincent T. Wilson said. The motorcycle operator was pronounced dead just after 1 a.m. at the scene. Police did not release an identity. A section of the roadway was closed for three hours.
