Falling Fuel Tanks Spark Ford's Latest Major Recall Of 223K+ Vehicles More than 220,000 Ford vehicles are being recalled because their fuel tanks can potentially fall off while in motion. Ford Motor Company issued the recall for 223,472 F-150 pickup trucks, according to a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration report filed on Wednesday, Sept. 9. The recall affects F-150s from model years 2023 through 2027. The trucks' fuel tanks may be improperly secured because the front fuel tank straps weren't correctly installed during assembly. In some cases, the straps' T-slots weren't properly inserted into the vehicle's frame rail, potentially causing the…

Manchester Man Killed In Route 79 Crash: Prosecutor An 80-year-old Manchester man was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Marlboro Township on Friday, Sept. 11, authorities said. At 11:45 a.m., Marlboro police responded to Route 79 and Blossom Avenue after a 2002 Toyota Camry Solara driven by an 80-year-old man entered the opposite lane of travel and collided with a 2022 Ford F350 driven by a 52-year-old Port Monmouth man, the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office said. The driver of the Solara was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital, authorities said. The crash remains under investigation, authorities said.
