Cyclist Struck, Killed By Vehicle In Rumson: Prosecutor
A 67-year-old man was struck and killed by a vehicle in Rumson last week, authorities said. At 12:37 p.m. on Thursday, July 23, officers responded to Ridge Road and Navesink Avenue after a man was operating a 2024 Isuzu work truck traveling east on Hartshorne Lane and collided with a cyclist riding a Giant bicycle, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond Santiago said. A 26-year-old man was killed, and two others were seriously injured after a boat struck a channel marker in Barnegat Bay in Toms River late Saturday, July 25, authorities said.
