At 5:20 p.m., officers discovered the stolen car near the Galloping Hill Mall at 1350 Galloping Hill Rd., Township of Union police said. Officers surrounded the car with the goal of blocking it to prevent a pursuit, police said. At 12:55 p.m., officers spotted a 2017 Acura MDX speeding on Route 22 and a license plate check revealed the vehicle was stolen from Belleville, Township of Union police said. At 8:11 a.m., officers responded to a resident near Union High School who reported finding a fanny pack in the bushes near Stahuber Drive, Township of Union police said.
