Queens Man Gets 15 Years For Fatally Shooting Jersey City Teen: Prosecutor
A 20-year-old Queens resident was sentenced to 15 years in prison in the fatal shooting of a 15-year-old Jersey City boy in 2022. In February 2022, Jersey City police responded to 112 Myrtle Ave. and found Devin Bryant, suffering from a gunshot wound, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. He was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital that evening, Suarez said. Justin Goris was 17 at the time he fatally shot Bryant and was charged as a juvenile before being tried as an adult, Suarez said. He pleaded guilty to aggravated manslaughter in July, Suarez said.

Child Sex Assault Charges For NY Man Just Accused Of Kidnapping In Bergen County: Prosecutor
A 37-year-old Queens man already charged with kidnapping and sexual assault a victim in Englewood is facing new charges of sexually assaulting a child, authorities said. Miguel A. Chimbo-Orellana first kidnapped and sexually assaulted the adult victim in Englewood, in August 2024, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said. An 87-year-old man diagnosed with dementia is missing, Bloomfield police announced on Friday, Oct. 25. Charles Newcomer was last seen on Thursday, Oct. 24, at 6:30 p.m., when he left from visiting his wife at the Brookdale assisted living facility in West Orange, police said. Newcomer is traveling in a red 2016 Jeep Wrangler bearing the New Jersey registration SC688E which has a cover of the Marine Corp symbol on the spare tire., police said.
