Driver Fatally Plunges Into Water At Poconos Casino
An 89-year-old Pennsylvania woman has died after a vehicle left the roadway and became submerged in water at a Poconos casino resort, authorities announced on Saturday, Aug. 8.
Jeanette Radzikowski, 89, of Dickson City, was a passenger in the vehicle when it went off the road at 312 Woodland Road in Paradise Township, the location of Mount Airy Casino Resort, at approximately 3:47 p.m. on Wednesday, July 29, according to Lehigh County Coroner Daniel A. Buglio.
Emergency responders pulled Radzikowski from the passenger seat of the submerged vehicle, the coroner said.

Diners are showing more interest in adults-only and dog-friendly restaurants, according to a new study.
Younger consumers are also driving demand for protein-packed menus, health-focused ingredients, and family-style meals, Lightspeed Commerce said in its State of Hospitality 2026 report. The survey included people in the US, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom.

NJ Woman Found Stabbed To Death: Prosecutor
A 46-year-old Somerville woman was found stabbed to death on Thursday, Aug. 6, authorities said.
At 7:25 p.m., Somerville police responded to a 9-1-1 call on Brookside Avenue and found the woman with multiple lacerations to her chest, neck and thigh, Somerset County Prosecutor John P. McDonald, Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Chief of County Detectives Meredith McKay and Somerville Chief of Police Dennis Manning said.

An off-duty NYPD officer was driving drunk and crashed his car with three young children inside, state police said.
