Deadly Crash Reported In Hunterdon County, State Police Say (

One person was killed in a crash on Route 202 in Hunterdon County, state police said. A vehicle went off the road and overturned on Route 202 north near Wertsville Road in East Amwell Township around 2:05 p.m. on Tuesday, August 2, NJSP Sgt. Alejandro Goez told DailyVoice.com. One person was confirmed dead following the crash, Goez said. The ramp from 31 to 202 was temporarily shut down for the investigation. Additional details were not immediately released.

Van Towed After Ho-Ho-Kus Crash
A driver escaped injury Friday morning when his van barreled off the road and into a wooded area in Ho-Ho-Kus. The Hawthorne drywall contractor's vehicle crashed on Werimus Road off Deerhill Road near a southbound exit from the Garden State Parkway. Citywide Towing removed the van with a flatbed. Ho-Ho-Kus police were investigating. The borough DPW also responded. Boyd A. Loving took the photos and provided the information for this story. A driver was rescued and rushed to a nearby trauma center after a vehicle plunged down a steep embankment and landed in a pond in Hunterdon County, authorities said. The Flemington-Raritan First Aid and Rescue Squad responded to the crash near Route 202 and Colony Road in Raritan Township just after 8:35 p.m. on Wednesday, June 15, the department said. Minivan Carrying Developmentally Disabled Occupants Hits Tree in Fair Lawn
At least two people were hospitalized after a van carrying developmentally disabled occupants slammed into a tree Friday afternoon in Fair Lawn. Two victims -- one of whom had a large cut on his forehead -- were taken to The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood after the crash at 17th and Columbia streets around 3:30 p.m. Borough police and Fair Lawn Rescue members responded along with ambulances from Bergen New Bridge Medical Center and Paramus. Multi-Vehicle Crash Ends Paterson Police Pursuit
A police pursuit ended with a multi-vehicle crash at an intersection on Paterson's east side. The crash involving a stolen Toyota Camry, an SUV and another sedan at the corner of 7th Avenue and East 26th Street near McLean Boulevard shortly after 9 p.m. Friday ignited a fire in one of the vehicles. Firefighters also were needed for an extrication, responders said. At least one suspect was taken into custody, they said. There was no immediate word on possible injuries, although at least one was considered life-threatening.

Driver Flees After Crashing Stolen PA Vehicle On Route 78, State Police Say
An unidentified driver remained at large after crashing a stolen vehicle along the side of Route 78 and fleeing Saturday morning, state police said. The vehicle was found off the right shoulder of the eastbound side near milepost 5.0 in Greenwich Township shortly after 6:50 a.m., Trooper Charles Marchan told DailyVoice.com. A follow-up investigation determined that the vehicle had been stolen out of Reading, PA, Marchan said. A driver was rescued and flown to a nearby hospital after crashing into a concrete divider on Route 202 Wednesday evening, authorities said. The man was driving northbound on Route 202-31 at Copper Hill Road in Raritan Township and hit the concrete divider at the intersection before the vehicle flipped and landed on its tires in the southbound lanes shortly before 6:25 p.m., the Flemington-Raritan First Aid and Rescue Squad said. Victim Flown To Hospital In Hunterdon County Crash, Police Say
One person was flown to a nearby hospital following a Monday afternoon crash in Hunterdon County, police confirmed. A vehicle struck the cement barrier in the middle of the road near 234 Route 202/31 northbound in Flemington around 3:40 p.m., Raritan Township police Lt. Scott Nelson said. The victim was taken by Northstar medical helicopter to Capital Health Regional Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries, Nelson said. The crash remained under investigation by the Raritan Township Police Department.

A victim was airlifted following a Friday afternoon crash in Morris County, developing reports say. A vehicle crashed into a pole near 106 Route 23 southbound in Riverdale shortly before 4 p.m., according to initial and unconfirmed reports. A driver and passenger were seriously injured after their vehicle veered off Route 80 and slammed into a concrete barrier Sunday morning, state police said. A 33-year-old man was behind the wheel of a Kia Optima when the vehicle veered off the westbound lanes and entered the center median near milepost 47.8 in Montville Township just after 8:05 a.m., NJSP Sgt.
