Passaic Sheriff: Trio Nabbed With Dozens Of Heroin Folks, Crack Vials, Ecstasy, More
Passaic County sheriff’s detectives nabbed three men who they said had more than 75 heroin folds, a couple dozen vials and baggies of crack and nearly a dozen Ecstasy pills among them.
Members of the department’s Bureau of Narcotics and Fugitive Warrant Squad first spotted Nahdir Gonzalez, 29, “continuously entering and exiting a white colored Nissan Altima” near the corner of Essex and Madison streets in Paterson, Sheriff Richard H. Berdnik said Thursday.
Gonzalez passed what appeared to be drugs to the two others – identified as Rajaheem Alston, 26, and Tyheem Reese, 30, the sheriff said.…
Haledon Police Stop Turns Up Loaded Gun, Drugs, $2,393 In Cash
A passenger was found toting a loaded handgun during a traffic stop, Haledon police said.
Officer Jeffrey Welsh stopped a Nissan Altima whose driver failed to signal a turn on Belmont Avenue shortly before 10 p.m. Sunday, Capt. George Guzman said.
The driver also failed to produce proof of registration or insurance, he said.
Passenger David Rodriguez, 25, of Paterson was asked to step out of the sedan after giving Welsh a fake name, the captain said.

Police: DWI North Jersey Ex-Con With Heroin, 30, Crashes Into Rock Wall In Morris County
A North Jersey man with several prior criminal convictions was intoxicated when he crashed into a rock wall in front of a Morris County home earlier this week.
Kevin R. Fenty, 30, was driving a Nissan Altima on Drakestown Road in Long Valley when he struck the wall shortly before 1 a.m. Jan. 5, Mount Olive police said.
Officers arrived and immediately saw glassine folds on the passenger’s side of the car, police said.
During questioning, Fenty, of Port Murray, showed signs of intoxication and subsequently failed a series of field sobriety tests, police said.

Philly Woman, Jersey City Man Dead In Horrific Garden State Parkway Rollover Crash
A Philadelphia driver and a Jersey City man in one of the four cars she hit after overturning into oncoming traffic Wednesday night on the Garden State Parkway were killed, New Jersey State Police said.
Sandra Vanderslice, 57, was heading southbound when she lost control of her GMC Suburban, ran off the left side of the road, struck the concrete barrier and overturned near Exit 155 in Clifton around 8:25 p.m., Sgt. Lawrence Peele said.
The GMC then crossed into the northbound lanes, hitting a Cadillac XT-4, a Toyota Camry, Nissan Altima and Volkswagen Passat, Peele said.
