A dozen of Tufts University's 50 lacrosse players were sidelined earlier this month with a muscle-destroying illness following a grueling workout led by a Navy SEAL, school officials said. A woman was flown to the hospital after a careless driver drove onto the sidewalk and struck her while she was walking her dog in an Ocean County town on Friday, Sept. 6, police said. A 15-year-old died and five others rescued from a non-lifeguarded beach at the Jersey Shore Sunday, May 28, officials said. Responders arrived at Sandy Hook's Beach B, located in the Gateway National Park Area, around 4:30 p.m., park spokeswoman Daphne Yun tells Daily Voice. The body of a drowned swimmer was found off the Jersey Shore in Belmar after several others were rescued, authorities said.
