Forbes Ranks NJ Billionaires Among Richest People In America
"Forbes" has released its list of richest American residents.
And, yet again, three New Jersey residents were named.
Rocco Commisso, John Overdeck, and Peter Kellogg all made the cut. The billionaire trio also were ranked among the richest billionaires in the world last April by Forbes.
On the Forbes 400 list of Americans, Overdeck came in at No. 160, with a net worth of $7.4B; Commisso at No. 200 with a net worth of $6.4B; and Kellogg at No. 288 with a net worth of $4.6B.

22,000+ NJ Residents Without Power, Severe Thunderstorm Watch Remains In Effect
Thousands of New Jersey residents were without power after a round of powerful afternoon storms swept through the region.
The National Weather Service issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for much of the region through 11 p.m., and that comes after a round of quarter-sized hail and gusty winds.
As of 5:25 p.m., the following areas were without power:

Former North Jersey BOE Member, Husband, Son Killed In Florida Crash
A former trustee of a North Jersey school board, her husband, and one of their sons died in a highway crash in Florida over the weekend, according to district officials and authorities.
The victims were identified as former Millburn BOE member Danielle Prieto, 53, her husband Alfred, 57, and their son Antonio. Left to mourn their losses are their two other sons: Millburn HS senior Roberto, and 25-year-old Alec.
The crash occurred on Interstate 75 just south of State Road 52 in Pasco County, NJ Advance Media reports.

NJ Fertility Clinic Agrees To Pay State $495,000 Over Hack That Exposed 14,663 Patients' Data
A New Jersey fertility clinic agreed to pay the state nearly $500,000 to settle an investigation into a data breach that compromised the personal information of 14,663 patients, authorities said.
The hack “allowed multiple instances of unauthorized access” to protected health information of patients of the Diamond Institute for Infertility and Menopause, LLC, which operates practices in Millburn, Dover and in Goshen, NY, Acting New Jersey Attorney General Andrew J. Bruck said Tuesday.

'America's Hottest Start-Ups': Magazine Says These NJ Eateries Are The Next Big Thing
Some of the best up-and-coming eateries are right here in North Jersey, according to a list compiled by one website.
"QSR Magazine" named several local joints among the 40 best startups in America.
The restaurants on the list have less than 40 locations and survived the COVID-19 pandemic.
All are "primed for success," the magazine says.

Feds: NJ Postal Carrier, Cronies Conspire To Convert Stolen Credit And Economic Stimulus Cards
A Union County postal carrier stole credit and economic stimulus cards from the mail that he and three accomplices converted into cash and purchases, said federal authorities who arrested them Tuesday.
Kyle Williams, 35, was working for the U.S. Postal Service when he swiped the cards from July 2019 to August 2020 and shared them with his fellow Vauxhall defendants, U.S. Attorney Craig Carpenito said.
