Serious Crash Closes Road In Mercer County (

A serious crash closed a roadway in Mercer County, authorities said. Old Trenton Road between Edinburg and Newport was closed at about 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 21 due to the crash, West Winsor police said. Police, fire and EMS were at the scene. Trenton's Balil Lewis Slain In Street 'Had Heart Of Gold'
A 37-year-old man from Trenton was shot dead in the middle of the street last weekend, authorities said. Thousands of New Jersey residents were without power after a round of powerful afternoon storms swept through the region. A 40-year-old man from Monmouth County was arrested twice on back-to-back days in Mercer County, authorities said. The first arrest happened in the Aldi's parking lot at 440 Route 130 in East Windsor, police said. Timothy Trifiro of Perrineville was found sleeping behind the wheel with his bumper dislodged at about 5 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 4, police said. A 25-year-old engineer from Mercer County was killed this week by a wrong-way driver in Massachusetts, where she lived and worked, police said. Geetika Guruprasad, of West Windsor, died just after 12:45 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 17, in Littleton, a suburb of Boston. Guruprasad was driving her Mazda CX-5 on Route 2 when an SUV traveling on the wrong side of the road collided with her, Massachusetts State Police said. A 36-year-old man from Mercer County was fatally shot in his home, authorities said. The victim has been identified as Anthony Irizarry of Lawrence Township, they said. Elaine Murray, 71, of West Windsor appeared to have visible signs of injuries to the face, neck and head, according to Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J.
