Police ID Lake Garrison Drowning Victim As Guatemala Native, 19
Police have identified the 19-year-old swimmer who drowned in a New Jersey lake over the weekend. Daniel Miranda, of San Marcos, Guatemala, was taken to Inspira Hospital in Mullica Hill, where he was pronounced dead, Elk Township police said. Elk Township officers were called to Lake Garrison in Gloucester County for a missing person last seen in the water around 2:10 p.m. Saturday, July 20, Elk Township Police Chief Lance Hitzelberger said. A 31-year-old driver from Camden County was charged with driving while intoxicated, assault by auto, reckless driving and child endangerment after striking a utility pole in Gloucester County, authorities said. Popular Chicken Joint Replacing Pep Boys In South Jersey Town
A popular chicken fingers joint is coming to Gloucester County. Raising Cane's, which has over 600 locations, will be opening soon in Washington Township at the site of a former Pep Boy's at Black Horse Pike near Ganttown Road. Demolition crews are at the site demolishing the old Pep Boys building, Washington Township police said. Raising Cane's Garden State locations include West Cherry Hill, West Marlton, Deptford and Burlington. An opening date has not been announced.

Another New Jersey widow has come forward alleging she was bilked out of money for a gravestone she never got. Jerry J. Stefan, 49, of Gladwyne, PA, has been indicted alleging he bilked a Deptford, NJ widow out of $5,054 for a gravestone she never received for her late husband.
