A Monmouth County man will remain in jail after he was accused of trying to kidnap a teen girl and groping a woman in a Target parking lot during a two-county crime spree, authorities said. Quamel Benton, 35, of Farmingdale, was ordered by a judge on Wednesday, Apr. 10 to remain in Burlington County Jail through his trial, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer said in a news release. Bergen Grade Schoolers Accused Of Sodomizing Boy With Sex Toy
A group of young boys from Old Tappan are accused of sodomizing another with a sex toy. According to multiple parents, the 8th graders pooled their money to buy the penis-shaped sex aid from a popular gift company. One apparently turned it on another at a local residence while at least two others helped with the horrific assault, they said. Toms River police were looking for whoever stole about $1 million in jewelry from a store, authorities said. Officers responded to a burglary and theft report at Venzio Jewelers in the Ocean County Mall at around 10:10 a.m. on Thursday, Mar. 28, a Toms River police spokesperson said. Two sisters from Atlantic County were accused of stealing prescription drugs from a Shrewsbury nursing home, authorities said. A New Jersey man was shot and killed at an I-78 truck stop in Upper Bern Township early Friday morning, March 22, according to Pennsylvania State Police. James Alexander Hilton, 40, of Southampton, was pronounced dead at the scene, troopers said.
