South Jersey Man, 32, Fatally Shot
A 32-year-old man from Burlington County was fatally shot late Friday, authorities said. Beverly police officers were called to the Delacove Homes public complex about 10:15 p.m. on a report of a shooting, according to Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina and Beverly City Public Safety Director Rich Wolbert. Patrol officers found a bystander performing CPR on Octavius Williams, who had been shot in the chest by gunfire, Coffina and Wolbert said. South Jersey Woman, 61, Stabbed To Death In Burlington Home
A 61-year-old woman was beaten and stabbed to death inside her South Jersey home, authorities said. The body of Carla Nesmith was found at about 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday by another resident who had retuned to the home in Burlington City, they said. Nesmith was pronounced dead at the home on the 400 block of Earl Street, Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina and City of Burlington Police Chief John Fine said. Mount Holly Parolee Gets 15 Years In State Prison For Fatally Shooting Her Wife
A 31-year-old parolee from Mount Holly was sentenced to 15 years in state prison for fatally shooting her wife during a domestic dispute, authorities said. Laura Bluestein, 31, was sentenced on Wednesday by Superior Court Judge Terrence R. Cook, according to Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina. In February, the jury found Bluestein guilty of aggravated manslaughter and tampering with evidence in the fatal shooting of her 29-year-old wife, Felicia Dormans, Coffina said.
