Oley Township Man Dead After Fall From Tree Stand: Coroner A Berks County man died while attempting to remove a tree limb under his tree stand, according to authorities. Gregory McCoy, 62, of Oley Township, was pronounced dead at 9:34 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 7, according to the Berks County Coroner's Office.  Police were called to a wooded area near the 200 block of Geiger Road at around 8 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 7 and found McCoy hanging upside down from the tree, Amity Police Chief Jeffrey Smith said.
