Senior Dies From 'Severe Heat Conditions': Lehigh County Coroner A 93-year-old woman died in her Upper Macungie home this week in what the Lehigh County Coroner is calling "the first reported heat-related death" of the season, as stated in a release on Friday, July 19.  The woman was pronounced dead from hyperthermia at 11:24 a.m. on Thursday, July 18, according to the coroner's release. Infant Shot In Northeast Philadelphia: Police A 7-month-old boy was struck by gunfire in Philadelphia's Holmesburg neighborhood on Thursday, July 18, city police said.  It happened just before 6 p.m. on the 4000 block of Meridian Street, according to investigators. The infant was struck in the leg and taken to Nazareth Hospital where he is in stable condition, officials said.  No arrests had been made as of Friday morning, July 19 and the investigation is ongoing, PPD added.

Pair Stole American Flag In Phoenixville, Police Say Two people are accused of swiping a US flag from the old Civic Center, Phoenixville police said.  A man and woman took the flag from 123 S. Man Critically Hurt In South Philly Fire, Officials Say An apartment caught fire on Thursday, July 18, sending one man to the hospital with serious injuries, Philadelphia police said.  The blaze happened above a vacant barber shop on the 1900 block of South 22nd Street around 9 a.m., authorities wrote in a release. The home was "engulfed in flames" when first responders arrived.  The 63-year-old victim was taken to the Hospital of the University of Philadelphia on Cedar Avenue in critical condition, police said.
