Fatal: Speeding Teen Dirt Biker Slams Town Trash Truck In Cape May County, Officials Say Authorities in Cape May County are investigating a crash between a teen dirt bike operator and a town trash truck, which killed the teen dirt biker. The crash happened around 11:35 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14. A 17-year-old traveling southbound at a high rate of speed in the northbound shoulder of Bayshore Road struck a municipal trash truck turning right onto east Atlantic Avenue, the Cape May County Prosecutor's Office said. Teen On Bicycle Suffers Serious Injuries In South Jersey Crash, Troopers Say A teen riding a bicycle was seriously injured when they were hit by a car in Pittsgrove, authorities said. The 14-year-old was struck on County Route 553 on Tuesday, Aug. 27, a state police spokesperson said. Troopers responded to the crash near milepost 27.7 at around 11:35 a.m. Investigators said the teen left a parking lot and didn't yield to traffic. The Audi was traveling north and crashed into the bicycle. The teen was brought to a nearby hospital with serious injuries. No one in the Audi was injured. The crash remained under investigation.

Two boys, a 17-year-old from Philadelphia and a 16-year-old from Ivyland, PA, turned themselves in to North Wildwood police, the department said in a news release on Thursday, June 27. Two Teens Caught Stealing From Several Stores In South Jersey Mall, Police Say Two Mays Landing teens were accused of breaking into an Atlantic County mall overnight and stealing from several stores, authorities said. Hamilton Township police responded to the Hamilton Mall at around 2:45 a.m. on Wednesday, June 12, the department said in a Facebook post. Officers found a 16-year-old boy and a 15-year-old girl wearing ski masks and carrying large bags full of stolen items. The boy and girl ran away but they were caught by officers.
