Man Decapitated Seagull On Jersey Shore Boardwalk, Police Say A Cape May man was accused of decapitating a seagull on the boardwalk in North Wildwood, authorities said. Franklin Zeigler, 29, was charged with third-degree animal cruelty, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest, the North Wildwood Police Department said in a news release on Monday, July 22. Officers responded to a report of an animal cruelty incident at Morey's Piers on Saturday, July 6, and witnesses said Ziegler had decapitated the shorebird. Father High On PCP Injured Baby Son Dropping, Swinging Him In Jersey Shore City: Police A North Wildwood man was accused of dropping and swinging his baby son while high on PCP, authorities said. David Fletcher III, 38, was arrested on Tuesday, July 2, the North Wildwood Police Department said in a news release on Thursday, July 11. Officers responded to reports of a man possibly having a medical issue on the 1200 block of Atlantic Avenue. Police suspected Fletcher was under the influence of drugs "due to his erratic behavior."
