ID Of Tow Truck Operator Killed By Passing Car On Route 19 Released
A tow truck operator was killed by a passing vehicle on Route 19 over the weekend, authorities said. Manuel Perez, 64, was trying to hook another vehicle to his truck on the southbound side of the highway when he was struck by a Toyota sedan that then struck the tow truck and overturned around 11:40 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 3 at milepost 2-3, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes said. Perez was pronounced dead and the driver of the Toyota was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. This investigation is active and ongoing. NJ Soccer Captain Suffered Broken Neck, Ribs In Crash, Campaign Says
Support is on the rise for an 18-year-old North Jersey high school soccer captain who sustained multiple broken bones in a crash last month. Molly Mack, the captain of the Whippany High School girls team, was identified by the team's booster club as the person seriously injured in the Sunday, Oct. 27 crash between two SUVs on Route 24 in Florham Park, as previously reported by Daily Voice. Two men were injured in two different falls at the same time in Frankford Township on Tuesday, Oct. 29, authorities said. At 6:43 p.m., troopers responded after a 60-year-old man fell off a ladder at a residence on Morris Avenue, Jeffrey Lebron, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said. The 60-year-old man sustained moderate injuries and was airlifted to a local hospital for further evaluation, Lebron said. Freak Accident Kills Boy, 12, Playing In NJ Backyard: Police
A New Jersey boy was killed when a tree fell on him in a backyard, authorities said. Lucas Schwartz, 12, was identified as the victim of the Eldridge Avenue incident in Lawrence Township on a GoFundMe page. Police said he'd been playing with a friend in the backyard of a home when gusty winds blew the tree over, and it fell onto him around 12:09 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 14. Man Airlifted After ATV Overturns In Warren County:

A 48-year-old Liberty man was seriously injured after his ATV overturned in Warren County on Sunday, Sept. 22, authorities said. At 4:54 p.m., a C-Force 600 all-terrain vehicle was traveling westbound on Danville Mountain Road in Liberty Township when it veered off the road to the left and overturned, Jeffrey Lebron, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said. The driver was ejected and sustained serious injuries, Lebron said. He was airlifted to an area hospital for treatment, Lebron said. The crash remains under investigation, Lebron said.

Dump Truck Overturns In Sussex County, Driver Hospitalized: Fire Department
A person was hospitalized after they were trapped in an overturned dump truck Sussex County on Tuesday, Aug. 6, authorities said. At 3:02 p.m., first responders were dispatched to Route 15 southbound in Sparta Township and found a dump truck overturned with a driver trapped, the Sparta Township Fire Department said. Sparta Township Fire Department The driver was out of the truck by the time first responders arrived and was treated and transported to a nearby hospital, firefighters said.
