A 20-year-old Allentown man was arrested after police seized a firearm, hollow-point bullets, and more after a pursuit-crash on Route 78 in New Jersey, authorities said. Trouble began for Franniel Reyes Saturday morning, July 27, when a New Jersey State Police trooper attempted to conduct a motor vehicle stop in the eastbound lanes for a moving violation at Exit 7 in Bloomsbury, NJSP Sgt. Husband Charged In NJ Crash That Killed Wife, Prosecutor Says
Two drivers including the husband of a woman killed were found at fault in the Route 9 crash last month in Old Bridge, authorities said. Benjamin Futerman, 32, of Manalapan, and Wilson Familia, 22, of Old Bridge, have both been charged in the June 2 crash on Route 9 at Ferry Road that left Kristina Godich dead and several others injured, Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Old Bridge Police Chief Thomas J. 7,000-Gallon Tanker Truck Strikes Railroad Bridge In Central Jersey (

A 7,000-gallon tanker truck struck a railroad bridge in Woodbridge on Wednesday afternoon, July 10, authorities said. Woodbridge police could not immediately confirm the tanker's contents but said there were no major leaks and no injuries. The crash occurred at about 2 p.m. at Green Street and Rahway Avenue. An unconfirmed report said the tanker was carrying jet fuel. Hazmat crews and NJ Transit were at the scene of the crash, police said. No train service was interrupted due to the crash, according to a NJ Transit spokesman. Check back for updates.

8-Year-Old Struck, Killed By Car While Riding Bicycle In Morris County, Police Say
An 8-year-old riding his bicycle was killed after he was struck by a vehicle in Parsippany on Tuesday, July 9, authorities said. At 5:34 p.m., the 8-year-old was struck by a 2022 Mazda CX5 traveling in the area of 189 Littleton Road, Morris County Prosecutor Robert Carroll, Chief of Detectives Robert McNally, and Parsippany –Troy Hills Police Chief Richard Pantina said. The boy was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said. The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation, authorities said.

Motorcyclist Injured After Striking Deer In Hunterdon County:

A motorcyclist was injured after he struck a deer in Hunterdon County on the early morning of Tuesday, June 25, authorities said. At 5:05 a.m. on Frontage Road in Clinton, a motorcyclist was traveling on Frontage Road when a deer entered the roadway and was struck by the motorcycle, Charles Marchan, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said. The motorcyclist was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Marchan said. The crash remains under investigation, Marchan said.
