Woman, 75, Killed In Early Morning Crash On Garden State Parkway In Port Republic: Troopers

A Wildwood woman died after an early morning crash on the Garden State Parkway in Port Republic, authorities said.

Audrey McCash, 75, was killed in the crash on Saturday, Sept. 28, a state police spokesperson said. Troopers responded to the wreck near milepost 46.6 on the southbound side of the parkway at around 12:26 a.m.

Investigators said a Subaru Outback went off the parkway and struck several trees. McCash was rushed to a hospital where she was pronounced dead.

The 76-year-old Wildwood man who drove the SUV was injured in the crash. He was expected to survive his injuries.

The crash remained under investigation.
