Weapon-Dealing Duo Found With Illegal Guns At Jersey Shore Motel, Police Say A man and woman from Ocean County were accused of illegally selling guns, authorities said. George Garulle of Beachwood and Dana Restiano of Whiting were arrested on Monday, Nov. 4, the Stafford Township Police Department said in a news release. Investigators executed two search warrants at the Howard Johnson motel in Toms River and a home on Neptune Avenue in Beachwood. Garulle and Restaino were found with several illegal guns, including defaced guns, ghost guns, rifles, and shotguns. South Toms River Man Led Chase As Officers Investigated Kidnapping Report, Police Say A South Toms River man was accused of leading police on a chase as they investigated a possible kidnapping in Whiting, authorities said. Thomas Stevens, 67, was arrested on Tuesday, Sept. 3, the Manchester Township Police Department said in a news release. His arrest came after officers responded to a report of a woman "being forced into a vehicle against her will" at the Wawa convenience store on Route 70 at around 3 p.m. An officer found Stevens driving a black 2005 Chevrolet Tahoe and stopped him on County Route 530. Drunk Motorcyclist Wasn't Wearing Helmet In Overnight South Jersey Crash, Police Say A Lacey Township man was accused of driving a motorcycle while drunk in an overnight crash in Whiting, authorities said. Charles Hicks, 54, was charged with suspicion of driving while intoxicated, the Manchester Township Police Department said in a news release. The crash happened near the intersection of Wranglebrook Road and Canton Drive on Thursday, Aug. 29. Officers responded to a report of an injured motorcyclist at around 3:24 a.m. Police found a damaged Harley-Davidson motorcycle on its side in the intersection and Hicks a few feet away with injuries.
