While out and about in Hoboken, Vince Vaughn stopped to snap a selfie with a local. Meghan Bowman, a realtor, spotted the actor Tuesday afternoon, May 16, at Basile's on Washington Street, and managed to grab a quick pic. "It was very random," Bowman said. It wasn't immediately clear why the "Dodgeball" star was in town.

Jersey City Man Sexually Assaults Woman He Met At Hoboken Bar: Prosecutor
A 23-year-old Jersey City man was arrested for sexually assaulting a woman he met at a Hoboken bar, authorities said. Kenny Arceda assaulted the woman in the vestibule of a building on the 100 block of Washington Street on Aug. 4, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. Arceda, of Jersey City, was charged with one count of sexual assault, and arrested in West Orange. He was taken to the Hudson County Correctional Facility pending his first court appearance. Six firefighters were hospitalized while knocking down a Hoboken fire as temperatures neared 100 degrees this weekend. The blaze at 219 Washington St. broke out just before 3:15 p.m. Saturday, July 23. Jersey City firefighters assisted in ventilating the building. Four firefighters were hospitalized for heat exhaustion while two suffered minor injuries, fire officials said. All were released by 1 a.m. Sunday, July 24. Kiersten Gormeley, founding owner and executive chef of SHAKA, won the Taco Brawl episode of "Chopped" on Food Network, taking home the $10,000 grand prize. The episode aired May 18. Hoboken PD: Man Wanted In Apparent Pepper Spray Incident Was Passenger In DWI Hit-Run
A man wanted for apparently pepper spraying a woman during an argument was in the passenger's seat of a DWI driver's car during a Hoboken hit-and-run crash, authorities said. Police responding to reports of a hit-and-run around 9:55 Thursday evening on 3rd Street and Willow Avenue spotted a gold minivan on Washington Street with heavy front end damage and no headlights on, Hoboken police Det.
