'Historic Low': NJ Reservoir Drops Below Half Capacity As Wildfires Burn Across State
The Manasquan Reservoir, a crucial water source in Monmouth County, has dropped to historically low levels as New Jersey experiences wildfires and drastic drought conditions. The reservoir's water elevation was recorded at 91.27 feet above sea level on the morning of Monday, Nov. 18, according to Marc Brooks, executive director of the New Jersey Water Supply Authority (NJWSA). Sundown Swimmers At Unguarded NJ Beach Rescued
Three swimmers were rescued while in the water after sunset in Ocean Grove, officials said. Rescuers were called to a swimmer in distress near the pier at the Main Avenue beach at around 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 28, the ANSWER team said in a Facebook post. Shiva Penmetsa was charged with theft on Tuesday, Dec. 19, according to Wall Township police. Penmesta allegedly sent the woman an email on May 5 thanking her for a $400 subscription, police said.
